水怕乾火怕寒

修煉金丹，全藉火功調爕。添水之時，以救其火之燥也；火之時，又恐其火之寒也。故水亦怕濫，亦怕乾；火亦怕燥，亦怕寒。故有斤兩法度，湏要調匀，使不致于太過不及也。
