守道章第五十九
治人事天莫若嗇。保此道者。夫唯嗇，是謂早復。各復歸其根。早復謂之重積德，玄德深矣。重積德則無不克。其用不窮。
無不克則莫知其極。用之不可既。
莫知其極，可以有國。故能長生。
有國之母，可以長乆。道乃乆。
是謂深根固蔕，長生乆視之道。天長地乆。
