味苦，平，主胷中結，益心氣，補中，增智慧，不忘。久食輕身，不老，延年，神仙。一名丹芝，生霍山。
陶隠居云：南嶽本是衡山，漢武帝始以小霍山代之，非正也。此則應生衡山也。
