天妃宫，在孩兒巷北，以祀水神，洪武初建。神號不見經史。竊意宇宙間至尊者天，有帝象焉；地爲之配，有后象焉；其次水爲大，有妃象焉。故崇其號曰天妃。而軍營漕運之所，江海河漢之濱，悉崇奉之。
