凡畫嫩與文不同，有指輿爲文者，殊可笑。落筆細，雖似乎嫩，然有極老筆氣，出於自然者；落筆粗，雖近乎老，然有極嫩筆氣，故爲蒼勁者，難逃識者一看。世人不察，遂指細筆爲嫩，粗筆爲老，眞有眼之旨也。
